Has anyone got any recent ears-on experience of Shure SE425 vs SE 535 in ears? The 215’s seem pretty popular as an all rounder but wanting a little extra oomph which led me to the 535s. Having used Shure stuff in professional studios for a decade or so I like their stuff but never had to buy my own.
Mainly to use at home to replace some aging by lovely sounding AKG over-ears who’s rubber is now perishing for when I can’t put the hifi on and a bit on the go (trains/flights). Alternative could be the Airpod pros but never really got on with silicon tips and much prefer foam ones so not sure how they’d stack up
Shure having been lagging behind the competition for eons now to be honest. If you really want foam tips, Dekoni make them for Airpod Pro's. I am pretty serious about sound quality and I love my AirPod Pro's. They're tuned incredibly well.
Oh neat, didn’t know that! Just been around Shure stuff in studios/live PA for a decade and they always seemed the industry standard for many things (IEMs included), and I much prefer going pro-audio than consumer electronics for speakers large or small
