Think that's pretty stingy tbh. Yeah it's not much work but it will still take time to measure accurately, cut it nearly, etc, and if there's a mistake they'll have a customer wanting a replacement fork. £25-30 seems fair for the time + that level of risk - why bother to do it otherwise.
Obviously someone on here may be willing to do it out of kindness but that's not what a shop is there for!
Anyone good with cutting carbon steerers or know a good shop that will do it relatively cheap?
I only need 15mm off and 25-30quid seems a lot for that.
Feel free to let me know I'm being a cheapass and unreasonable. Happy to pay in beer or a small service fee
