@retrodicorsa thanks again for the wonderful bike you built - occurred to me the other day must be virtually 10 years since i bought it off you. Still going strong, been all over.
Thanks again.

@GreenApe: That's a blast from the past but great to hear from you and thanks for your kind words and sharing the B's travels! My pet phrase when handing over a new build is "I hope you are very happy together" and in your case that obviously was the case! I'm still building, probably another 400 out the door since yours, but always good to hear from people.
I also like to quote Grant Petersen from 'How to Ride a Bike Forever': "Get the best bike you can afford, and grow old with it. Things we keep a long time grow in value to us, and enrich our lives every time we use them. The first objects you'd grab if your house caught fire are probably the old ones, because they can't be replaced. Grow old with the best bike you can afford." -

Lovely top quality Italian road bike from late 80's/early 90's in Columbus SL. A rare marque on which Google is unusually silent other than to say "Biemmezeta is an Italian bicycle manufacturer that used to be located near Milan, Italy", but I have seen a couple of others, always good spec. Very nicely made with neat lugs and light even by SL standards. Very rare to get a nice frame in this size: 53cm c2c seat tube and 53cm top tube. Original paint was in terrible condition and with decals unobtainable it has been powder coated at Armourtex who did a good job of preserving lug definition and the seat stay pantos (small bird similar to Columbus). Fork chrome is excellent. Completely rebuilt with many new parts as a spare bike for a charity stage ride to Monte Carlo which has now finished, bike unused.
Biemmezeta F&F, 53x53, 100/130 spacing, braze-on front mech, 27.2mm seat post, Italian BB, single bottle cage mounts.
Mirage 9v groupset: NOS Ergos, new cables, NOS 48/34 compact cranks 172.5mm, F&R mechs used but clean. Centaur cartridge BB.
New Record 9v chain with KMC link.
Brake callipers are new latest Veloce dual pivot.
Headset - new Stronglight with sealed cartridge bearings.
Stem ITM, bars 3TTT Super Competizione 42cm (minor corrosion visible on bars)
Seatpost Campag Chorus, saddle is NOS Turbo.
Wheels are Campagnolo Sciroccos in good condition throughout, with new 13-26 cassette.
Could do with nicer tyres maybe, but the nearly new Vittoria Rubino Slicks are often seen on £1k+ OTPs.
Looking for~~ £700 ~~ SOLD for an essentially new (unique) road bike. Pedals not included, but these along with saddle, bars, stem etc. all can be changed/haggled over for other options if your fit requires it.

No dibs, if you want it, PM me to arrange payment and collection, seemples.
