Had an offer accepted on a house near us after six or so years living in an ex council gaff in a rough bit of Leyton. I am quietly freaking out and quietly ecstatic.
It's definitely brown trousers time in terms of when we're buying, I know it's a risk, but I also don't think we'd have got it if the market wasn't in a period of turmoil, and we're both lifelong Londoners so it's not like we're moving anywhere else any time soon.
I can't imagine what it might be like to have enough room and not have people above below and beside us.
