That's a lazy new tag; You've barely moved.

I was stumped on this one. Good spot! I take my hat off to your supreme North Laine knowledge.

I meant to get the steps in the tag to give a better hint but when I got home I realised I got no steps or a very clear view of Jubilee Square.

That would have helped me for sure. I was fixated on the Edward Street area, and hadn't got around to considering the North Laine. But the NL is @Retro_Bastard turf...

I should have paid more attention to this detail, but it's easy to say these things in retrospect.

I have no idea how that's supposed to help you locate it.
Nevermind - you mean the difference in paving, not the nike-swoosh-mark. -

The grooved surface on the ground... they wouldn't have that for a flat entrance way into a building (which is what I thought I was looking at). They do must definitely have those grooves or ridges at the top of steps.
(I didn't spot the Nike swoosh mark 'til you said... I'm losing my touch!)

I've missed plenty of tags in my back yard but this is one of those rat run roads to cut through when town is busy. I generally avoid that Kensington Gardens, Gardner St, Bond Street stretch on a bike it's hard enough to walk through some days.

Yes, Regent Street is one of my cut-throughs, but it would have taken me ages to associate it with Squash's tag.
On the topic of "looking for a location" I can really relate to and appreciate this wonderful piece...

@CharlieCardboard - help! I'm stuck!! Give us a clue...
-

It's very central. Although you might not have a reason to go down here unless you were attending a conference, or reaching for the highest heights.
-
• #2274
Clue? It's not in a conservation area 😅

There's something behind where I took the photo that suggests that it is....
Hanover Mews behind PizzaMe on Elm Grove.
