I haven't read the book, but it seems like a very good effort at making a screen rendition of difficult source material. Its good seeing people make weird movies instead of franchise shite. I really liked how the tone shifted all over, but felt the pacing was a bit strange. Some bits dragged, and others raced through. Maybe that was purposeful? Film weenies will love it. 3.5/5.
