Yes! So cool, looking forward to seeing it built up. And not a frameset you see every day, great choice

Update:
Black Acciaio has gone to a close friend for a good price! Glad it’s gone somewhere to live a happy life after many years of neglect (weird to think of it like a rescue dog)I couldn’t help myself with the Orbea so got it stripped down, gave it a bit of polish and it’s gleaming. Here’s three pictures of it with the random old Tiagra groupset, and janky old Prime aero bars it came with.

I have started getting the 7800 bolted on, a super weight weenie post, SLR Carbonio, and a place holder bar and stem. The stem will need to be a bit shorter (need a 120) but the angle measures correctly to my bike fit which is great news as it can only be ridden slammed (steerer has been chopped).
The wheels are Bontrager Aeolus TLR3, nice and wide and thankfully the frame fits 25’s. The fork is tight but shouldn’t be an issue. The weight as you see it is 6.95, so I hope to have it at the 7.5kg mark when complete.
If anyone has a 38cm classic drop bar, and a 120mm -17 stem, please shout 😁

bike wise a very aesthetic period (we did a family trip to the pyrenees in 2003 to watch some mountain stages of the tour) but that picure must contain very large amounts of doping :)

Caved in and got the Orbea built.. decided to go with the steel Condor cages which I think look great. Also could not sit on the SLR mentioned in previous post, so that’s for sale if anyone is keen!

Sublime! The weight is surprisingly light too! Something I noticed using a similar stem on an ally steerer fork, what to do with the exposed bit? Paint it matt black, or maybe orange to tie in with the frame?

Figured I may as well consolidate my other bikes to the thread.. will be interesting to look back on 😀
Winter bike - Pinarello Paris 2005
Campi Super Record 11
Had this for a year and a bit now, love it however it will only take 23’s with PDW guards which was a little bit hair raising.. It’s now got 25’s thanks to fitting some SKS longs, they do the job and to be honest they are solid, and light! The bike as you see it is 7.8kgSummer best - Pinarello Dogma F
Super Record 12 EPS
Open Pro carbon, laced with CXRay onto Chris King ceramic. Love this bike sooo much. As you see it (with bartape) it’s 6.8kgTo sell soon - Colnago Classic
Was my previous winter bike for a couple of years, also had it built up for commuting at one point. Great frame but I need space
