Reason - coming down another steep descent in Wales in the pouring rain on Bryan Chapman made me want more foul weather braking. Conversion was pretty easy, Kinesis fork had a disc version with same geo. Swapped front shifter to hydro, which felt/looked odd so I went back to cables with TRP caliper. With a short front brake cable the feel is good, with strong progressive action, it just need a bit more hand pressure for same amount of braking. Good overall result worth trying if you do lots of bad weather rides, not much difference in regular riding, and the feel of the bike unchanged as the fork is essentially the same -still think it look a bit off somehow though
