That's really nice. Have I not been paying attention, or have you picked up quite a few new pieces lately?
-

Oh you've been paying attention alright! I've actually got the original guarantee to go with that one which is pretty great for something 50+ years old!
There may be a few more to come...

Not sure about the added red by the crown mind.

I happened to walk by a Breitling store the other day, popped in to have a look at the Chronomats. The 36mm in white is really good.

I totally agree, tried on both the white and the blue, love the blue hue, has a purple quality to it too, just probably wear the white more. I love the bracelet.

I can't find a photo to show it but the profile of the case is really good too. The silver dial is great but the white dial pops more.

I like that they have enough design elements that really make it their own but they don't over power each other, the crown, bezel and bracelet.

I find the proportion on the hour hand really bothers me - the broad arrow head and stumpy arm just looks like a mistake to me.

The GMT looks a bit like the hands are from four different watches imho.

Yeah I quite like those.

Well I did think this regarding the crown from the initial black bay with the red but I think they've got enough details there to distinguish based on how some watches are straight up copies. I like the taper and rounded corners of the date window and the fact the 6 marker isn't fully surrounded. Most date windows make or break a watch. They've got a step to the dial, box crystal etc. The minute track is very 'OP' though.

February T4AP…?
Just checked the date (21st), I've got an early start on the Wednesday for an Audax so will have to give this one a miss. Have earmarked March 28th though.

I've had a hankering for one of these for a long time (Renzo Piano edition for the Pompidou) and can get hold of one for £150 new. Is it stupid to buy a Swatch for that, and one that will inevitably turn yellow?

Yep crazy price for a swatch . My first watch was a jelly swatch in the early 80’s I bought the same on eBay a few years ago for not much money , and never wear it . If you just have a jelly , sure to be some 2nd hand ones to choose from /.

There’s a new one on eBay atm that’s been around twice and not sold at £100 - might be worth offering that to the seller on rhere

Maybe the Omega Swatch is a slightly more durable movement. But its still a Swatch.
People happy to part with £200
