What are some well recommended decaf beans for some nice Italian-style espresso? Girlfriend advised not to drink caffeine while on antibiotics and I've long liked the idea of some decaf for after dinner espressos...
Yellow Bourbon swiss water decaf
Chimney fire decaf
The YB is a surprisingly dark looking bean (I say bean rather than dark roast) but gives a really good drink. Works well for me with a finer grind and shorter dose (17g) than for standard beans (19g) with the 25-28s extract time on a commercial machine. YMMV.
At home I just FP/V60 it though, I don't drink caffeine at home.
