Lol, will take a pic of our roof at some point - looks like it could be a grass roof it has so much moss on it...

Here we go.
We have had some success on the driveway and some of the walls removing moss and lichen with this stuff:
https://www.wetandforget.co.uk/Just yet to deal with the roof yet...as the moss is likely holding a lot of the tiles together

Moss on the roof got flagged on our home buyers report thing.
That was 6yrs ago, other than it getting knocked off by pigeons, I'm not really sure it matters.

Our gutters are full of it which is the real issue.
Sounds like it isn't a job I want to do myself.

For gutters get yourself an extendable paint roller pole and a pro gutter attachment: https://www.progutter.co.uk/store
Back on the oil price chat. It dropped to 69p/litre so we have ordered 500l, which is the cheapest it has been in the past year

Shocked and actually a bit saddened to hear untothislast are no more…

That’s such a shame. I did some product development for Olivier while I was a student, actually designed their vacuum press. He had a novel approach to business and furniture production, sad to see it crumble because of supply chain and cash flow.

Yeah really sorry to see them go, I do feel their prices have been too low for too long, I think good quality sheets of veneered ply are more than some of their pieces.
-
• #57314
Yeah looking at the website, they could have got away with another £50-100 on most pieces.
-

Easily, in the current market their stuff is wildly underpriced.
I’m looking at an off the peg semi custom desk from an online supplier and they start at about 700 and are basically just 3 sheets of ply bolted together, no engineering or design. -

incredibly tough and awkward situation for all involved. I hope not many people paid by debit or bank transfer.
-

Given the name of the place, I’m assuming the prices were partially limited to make sure it was available to relatively normal people, in the vein of John Ruskin and William Morris (John Ruskin wrote an essay called Unto This Last).
Very sad though, the shop in Herne Hill was great.

What's a better looking option for venting a capped chimney breast than one of these? It's currently blocked up and showing signs of damp.
Googling isn't getting me anyway, possibly I'm using the wrong terms. I'd prefer not to put a fireplace in but struggling to see what other options there are.

We used one of these types in mini_com's room.

Cheers both, that's the kind of thing I was hoping for.
It seems including chimney breast in the search was screwing up what it returned.
Thanks. None necessary, it was my own stupid fault. Cast came off yesterday as it goes, it’ll be a while before I venture up a ladder tho.
