Le swag, nice build.
However, how on earth does this "need" to be lighter ? It must climb very ably already. -

There is a wheelset for sale on the forum atm.

my wife has a 2014 SSE HM and it won't take anything wider than 23mm on the back (GP5000 on Kinlin XR31T rims). The forks will accept a 25mm GP5000.

Daym. Not what I was expecting, but thanks for the confirmation.
Kinlin is 19/24mm width according to the internet. What does the rear tire actually measure on it? -
• #31
To add to that, my 2015 also won't fit anything bigger than 23 in the back, but 25 in the fork is fine. That's on 28mm external, 19.5mm internal rims.

The LB rims I am talking about are these
I can take a picture with the wheels in the frame and tyres mounted. It did rub the frame once when I had a flat, but looking at the pictures of yours, it once happened before.
And sorry to say the SI cranks will not be for sale soon, I do want to upgrade to SISL2, but that will only happen when I find some fair priced ones.

Hey, these are the very same rims I'm after. Some pictures would be nice if you have a moment to spare. Thanks

I have Si arms (no axle) you can have for a close to zero sum, they are 175mm though.
Think i have a new set of bb30 spacers too, maybe bearings. -
• #35
I have bearings that will not be used. You can have em for shipping!

Interesting to see how the geo has changed over the years. Seems to be same in terms of general dimensions, so hopefully will fit fine and I won't need a 52 frame.

I have a set of 172.5 mm Si cranks, axle assy, washers, and choice of first-gen SpiderRing race double or 110 mm BCD spider — all surplus to my needs. They were fitted to my own SS Evo HM. Any use to you?

Combined the potential wheel options into one chart to have a bit of overview.
Your thoughts are mucho appreciated.
So far I'm inclined towards the cheapest wheelset tbh.
Anyone got connections/means to get some discounts off Elite wheels/light bicycles/winspace?

I wouldn't go for 28mm external rim on this frame.

Many thanks for the input, that's what I was thinking too. 18/25 width w 25 (hopefully) or 23 tyres.
As it stands now I'm inclined to go with the cheapest wheelset as it's the cheapest, dimensions fit, and it got a decent review off Hambini on YT.
Saved budget would allow for nice tyres and finishing kit with some moneys left towards the axs groupset.

Okay so the trigger been pulled and the money's sent over to China.
ProX R98 wheels on 25-45c rims, ud matte, fancy grooved brake tracks (319usd). Spokes upgraded to Sapim CX Ray (70usd) I also ordered an extra SRAM XDR frehub body in case 12 spd and spare spokes (40usd). Delivery w prepaid tax 139usd. Total 568usd. If not for the terrible EUR to USD rate would be a nice sub 500 number, but...here we are.
Spokes upgraded mainly for the weight saving of approx 100g and to make the wheelset sub 1500.Nearest wheelset was 200 usd more expensive and that buys me a set of GP5000s + latex tubes, PF BB bearings, some sticky kush bartape and maybe fancy cables.
The rest will be transferred over from the CAAD.Was looking for some different finishing kit and stumbled across Zipp Service Course SL. What a stunner. Apart from the pricetag...
Also expert thoughts on Alu seatpost w carbon frame? No no? Ya ya? Maybe? Wtf?

May as well go carbon, but have had no issues running alu posts in carbon, and vice versa. Periodically checking it is worthwhile, the problems usually happen if you leave it for years on end without suitable grease/carbon paste

Thanks for the input.
Shipping and prepaid taxes came in at 139 usd out of total 568. Not too shabby.
I'd love winspace hypers surely but can't justify. These will be fine

Oh that's quite cheap. Didnt really check out aesthetics but happy riding !

I run a "cheap" eBay carbon Hylix post in mine, came out lighter than Darimo sawn off to suitable length.

Absolutely love the looks of these. Perfect. Except the price and general idea that I would have to buy them when I have the C1 kit. Damn you capitalism.

I think/hope they will be just your another matte 45mm deep wheels w aero spokes. Stealthy as they say. Might put some cheeky decals to annoy people, might not. Will see.

@fizzybubbelech Perhaps since you are posting here you could also answer my PM to you with the pictures of the Cannondale components you asked for?

Shaping up nicely, if temptation gets the better of you then i'd be interested in the C1 stem and post!
C'est beau. Thanks for a provisional confirmation of the tyre clearance.
And those cranks...oh... I think I need to set a search alarm on all the eBays, unless you're selling yours?
