Is the seat tube measurement centre to top? Or c/c?
What's the head tube length? -
• #3
Seat tube is ctc, it’s about 51.5 to the top (which is, as you can see, curved).
Head tube is 15cms.
I’m 191cms and used it with a riser (with a lonnnnng seatpost and a 110mm stem). Seatpost diameter is 27.2 btw.

Updated the dimensions on the first post.

In old money, this would be a 22/23" frame and would probably be classed as an XL .

Found the Diatech headset that it came with. It’s got a built-in canti hanger.

Cheers, yes, nothing more from enquirers on this since last week, so still available!
I’ve had a couple of enquiries about this frame that I mentioned in the Rockhopper thread, so will be offering it to those two people first.
This one has been well used (see linked pics for details of the dings and scrapes) and I’ve enjoyed owning it. BUT. It’s too small for how I want to use it and I already have a 26er fRaNkEnBodGe that meets my can’t-have-nice-things kink.
1995 Marin Bear Valley SE
Tange triple-butted tubes
ctc 58cms top tube
ctc 48cms seat tube (approx 51 to the top)
15cms head tube
68mm bottom bracket shell
takes 27.2 seatpost
approx 220mm on the steerer
It’s large. Long and low. The tubing is surprisingly lightweight. Includes a junk headset that works. And a Ritchey stem (not shown).
BIG BLEMISH FACT: There’s a little crimping on the chain stays to give crankset clearance. It’s not overly pinched, but you see it if you’re looking for it.
Other blems are where paint has been lost. I removed bits of flaking paint and waxed the bare steel. You’ll want to sort that out. It’s all sound, and the threads are clean. But the frame needs some tlc.
