  • Thanks for the correction, great film, though

  • It is! Was meant more in jest than as a correction:)

  • lmao.. thank you

  • I've just been to see The Whale. Strong recommend from me, some amazing performances.

  • Just seen this in the cinema - I had watched it on our little TV a couple of weeks ago, after watching Werner Herzog’s take on the same story, and then Mrs Ludd wanted to see it and discovered that tickets were free! Even better second time around. What nutters.

  • I'm 45mins into tenet. I don't understand what's going on. The main character has no name. All the dialogue is overly quick emotionless robot conversations. I normally love Nolan films...

  • You say “I'm 45mins into tenet. I don't understand what's going on. The main character has no name. All the dialogue is overly quick emotionless robot conversations” like it’s a bad thing.

And the protagonist does have a name, he’s The Protagonist

  • It'll all make sense at the start.

  • I really enjoyed JoJo Rabbit on Channel 4 last night.

  • Wakanda Forever

Not a fun film. Struggling to stay motivated to watch it.

  • Yeah it's a great film

  • Empire of Light.
Quite endearing and beautifully shot but became an uncomfortable watch 3/4 of the way though as it deals with mental illness but films aren't always meant to be sweetness and light, some great acting and i'm sure it will get some awards nominations.
Margate/Dreamland was a perfect location for the story.

  • Rosetta (Dardenne, Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne - 1999)

Brilliant movie which I'd forgotten about. Strong Mouchette vibes.

Re Killing of a Chinese Bookie.. Gloria is also brilliant and I think The Long Goodbye is a similar vibe.

  • Rubbish. Seems that marvel films are getting worse and not better

  • Really fun and sad at the same time

  • Ok so after having this on the list for 15 months I finally watched this.

    I enjoyed it but wtf.

  • Finally got around to watching ‘All quiet on the Western Front’ wow, loving the Black Sabbath inspired soundtrack.

  • Had a long night with David Lean. Lawrence Of Arabia & Dr Zhivago

60 years old and you can tell. However, the epicness and sheer beauty is undeniable.

    A long and fruitful night.

  • Puss in boots2: Son said his mates online were talking about it and he wanted to see it, so off the cinema we went and spent too much om pick and mix.

Actually, not bad! Some scenes are a bit videogame frantic, it looks great and has some wholesome heartful moments.

Then I forgot the leftover pick and mix in the cinema....

  • I didn't know you were 60.

  • I have no idea what makes me sound 60...

    Pick and mix? ;)

  • The films are younger than me.

  • I have no idea what makes me sound 60.

Do you remember what you picked?

  • Perfect review, if you went in having read about it first it would be not as good.
