Yeah I reckon it is ok. 8th gen processor so it's ok for Windows 11. Win 10 to 11 is a free upgrade, don't play extra for it

Lol good shout on windows upgrade!

It’s literally a laptop just for my wife to use while teaching in a primary school so it doesn’t need a mad processor or anything. Just be be robust enough to survive!

Those x280s claim to be designed to some mil spec durability requirements (although not clear what they actually are). Mine has coped well with being manhandled by a 2 year old.
