I've had one tangle and a couple of emergency hurdles/stops with these little skinny leads. Tiny often yappy chasey Rodents on the end of a near invisible 10ft tripwire whilst the owner spends the entire walk staring at their phone.

Yip, more often than not French Bulldogs here. They look so overbred as to be in pain bloody shame, usually tethered to a fuckwit.

The majority of dog owners I see are on phone calls during a walk. Do these people never switch off? Enjoy the walk and scenery, save the phone call for the car...I call it a success if I can do an hour's walk with interacting with any other dog/human.

I see this a lot in Greenwich Park and it triggers me a bit too. Not least of all because people on phone conversations aren't watching out for their dog take a shit or approach other leaded dogs.

Overall I reckon most of the uncollected dog shite in Greenwich Park is because of otherwise responsible dog owners being absorbed in phone conversations or otherwise not paying attention to their dogs

My last job the office manager insisted the office had Heart or Capital on all day everyday to create an atmosphere. It was fucking awful.

Christ I'm glad I don't don't listen to this often. I used to think there are lots of various people but we're all the same on some basic level but I get less and less sure of that as I learn more about myself and give fewer and fewer shits about other people, not all of them, but there seem to be so many cunts that my levels are all over the shop.

I only dip in and out but that is what I like it about it, get to hear from all the people I don't normally engage with in real life and there are plenty of informative and repentant callers which you don't hear on the beeb

Went to Oxford Street today. As I’m going through the gate at the Tube station, my Oyster didn’t register so the gate remained closed.

The woman behind me was so close and so impatient that she tapped her Oyster the millisecond I lifted mine off the reader.

So I went through the gate on her tap - I was trapped in the turnstile with only forwards as an option because she was about 10mm away from me.

She was livid, but not much I could do, and part of me thinks it serves her well for being so impatient. There’s a lesson, perhaps?

For reasons I won’t go into, I’m pleased to say this didn’t leave me out of pocket with an incomplete journey.
