I wouldn't have assumed so. I just thought they plugged it in, ran whatever tests they needed to do and that was it. Charging it from empty can take 5 hours, I wouldn't expect that to be factored in by default. They were more than happy to plug it in once the service was done though.
£195 is their e-cargo price, it didn't differentiate on make. More than regular as they strip off all accessories, have their own lifts for cargo bikes etc. So it's whatever their top service is plus the extra for it being a big fuck off unit.
Again, I don't "like" paying it as most of it I would be happy to do myself (given the time). It's the E stuff that would be expensive to remedy if I didn't stay on top of it. And seeing as I don't think I can just get the motor and battery done, even if I could it would probably not cost much less as it would still need stripped down, may as well get the full service.

£195 in LDN terms is £120 in rest of UK terms so honestly for a proper blow it apart, do all the things with a reasonable quality cherry on top and reassemble its the cost of that level of work these days. Should get you a half day on a lift, then plus parts.
If its only got 2000 km on it, likely doesn't need that much work, but depends what you ask for.I routinely get bikes in that need a basic service, or even less, £30-45 worth, but customer asks for the works £120-150, I suggest its overkill and it doesn't need it, they insist. So I do the whole bike anyway, literally every bolt apart, clean, grease, loctite etc, and instead of it taking 4-5 hours of stand time, it only takes 2, because guess what, it didn't need it, so I charge way less. Would say HALF the time, customer insists they pay for the 5 hours that I didn't need to it* the other half they are glad of the honesty**
*I have nice customers.
**I never have to pay for beer, or this week, champagne 'simpsons canterybury rose' will help wash down the infinite biscuit pile I have on the go.
doesn't charging it form part of the battery service?
