Maybe I am just dead inside but I didn't pause the much fanfared episode 3, I fast forwarded through it. It was one of those less exciting episodes of the Walking Dead but with the guest star being Ron Swanson. Admittedly a nut job survivalist Ron Swanson to start with but naturally a gruffly loveable and vulnerable Ron Swanson in very short order. All presented in the style of a terrible NYT article where an architect and his bee keeping husband show you their Massachusetts holiday home. And like in the Walking Dead when the producers want to show their bona fides as serious people they contrive a situation where life can be lived almost exactly as it was before all the trouble started and something beyond the undead/badly yeast infected can be mulled over. Beards can be kept trimmed and shirts laundered, pianos played and strawberries harvested suggestively. No thanks.
I dislike the walking dead but thought all Frank and bills mod cons were pretty satisfactorily explained thru the prepping and harvesting of the towns resources once FEDRA cleared everyone else out
