GS have just gone up by 2-3% so less than the Swiss brands. I've had a couple of GS from watches of Mayfair which do seem to be the best prices. Their web and in store prices are lower than their C24 listings. I think they're stock is imported judging by their constantly slightly fluctuating prices and 2-3 week lead times. They do have some stock in store and i do get emails from them from time to time saying if there's anything I'm looking at they might be able to do a slightly better price than advertised. I'd expect a new customer certainly in store could negotiate a little as I've only bought a couple of cheap quartz's from them last year so I'm certainly not getting any special treatment.

Got to love the insured shipping out pricing most 'high street' brands...

Crikey, have seen them come up from time to time.. I think people are starting to cannibalise them for the 321 movements

It's the "barnacle" reissue. Couldn't resist the one day only sale price.... I get a wrist shot tomorrow. Bit worried the polished bezel is a bit try hard blingy... Will see in the sun.

Ti version? Good choice
Beware that it may restart the 50 fathoms homage

Yeah Ti, I wanted light and it certainly is. I'm sure there will be plenty of moaning about the Mercedes hand. If I get on with it I intend to sell all my other divers and use it as the everyday watch.

I had to back out of the purchase of the Speedy the other month due to finances
Bought an Apple Watch Ultra a few weeks ago, wore it solid for a week or so, seeing the battery life was like but then the way I used it was no different to the Series 6 I have with Vitality, plus I don't Dive so ended up sending it back, which was good of the seller!
Ended up getting a Tudor BB 58 with bracelet and Vanguard strap. Really enjoying it, but after catching up on here I and seeing a few Omegas I am tempted to see if the one I was going to buy is still around and then sell on the one I don't fully bond with.
I have been in contact with my local AD for different Tudor straps, seems odd that the NATO requires the watch to go to Tudor to have it fitted. But both as still cheaper than the person on ebay flogging a Tudor NATO

I don't suppose anyone would be interested in this watch? No import fees etc to pay, found it not for me, thought it would scratch an itch but it didn't.

My Tide strap (plastic fibres) is getting a bit stinky. What's the best way to get rid of the smell? Ultrasonic cleaner, bit of fairy, freezer, boiling water?

Beware that it may restart the 50 fathoms homage bickering discussion
Id like to get a nice FF homage sometime. One that has like a bakerlite bezel, or looks like it.

I typically have to factor in 10% for shipping when sending watches insured to outside of the EU. The last time I did this was for a £3k Longines...cost £290 to ship to Brazil.

ship to Brazil.
Wasnt there drama with that? what was it again? How did it pan out? All good?
-
• #69648
There was drama but I can't really remember the details. Yes, ended all good.
I think the main issue was it being held by Brazilian customs and the buyer didnt realise there would be an import charge...and that they didn't tell him that it was on hold awaiting payment so he thought it had been lost.

glad it was sorted though!

Let's try again.
The crystal that fell out turned out to be unoriginal and a poor fit. Watchmaker put in an original signed crystal instead.
Got to love that little horseshoe in the center.

Very nice, thank you. I’ve actually been on the hunt for a 145.006/016 spare dial if you ever happen to hear of one! Hopefully get to meet you at another night 👍
