Someone's just used my card details to try and buy something in Greece. I'm definitely not in Greece but I am going on holiday on Tuesday and now I can't take out cash. I'm on my 3rd bank card this year, 2nd fraud and one just broke apparently.

Plumber has been round today to fix the toilet cistern, I was out at work, letting agent gave him the key, all fine so far.
Toilet fixed, did a very good job of it.
But.....
You're a fucking plumber, you're going to encounter dirty water as part of your chosen profession, bring your own mopping up cloths, and of the two available towels to hand did he go for the navy blue one, oh no, he opted for the cream one, utter fucking twat!
Feel better for that, ta. -

I have a small rental out in Essex that has very slowly but surely looked after itself for many years. Rented out once again to a nice chap who moved in a month ago and all was good with the world. Boiler was inspected prior to the tenant moving in and everything passed with the usual flying colours. Email from the managing agents yesterday stating that the tenant had reported no central heating or hot water. Agent sends plumber in who says that a new boiler is needed as a result of the existing one having shat itself. Plumber says that he catch patch it up for £1000 + VAT, or install a new one for £2500 + VAT...
The same plumber was in last month and gave it completely clean bill of health.
Methinks there's some skullduggery afoot...

Probably worth a second opinion if you know someone local.

I've already got a second opinion lined up. The boiler itself is over ten years old, so theoretically it may need replacing, but probably shouldn't.
I await the second opinion

Woke up at 2am in a load of back pain. Cricked my neck/back, again. Must have just slept at a strange angle or something, fuck knows what else might have caused it. Bodies are shite and don't work how they should IME.

Fucking covid tests - sometime in the last few months they all seem to have decided to save money by putting a gnat's spit's worth of fluid in the test so you can't get anything to drop onto the sample tray. Literally useless.

This overwhelming car-centric thinking is really pissing me off.
Made the mistake of going on Reddit. This driver is on a residential street, a child runs out and - though the driver brakes - they hit the child [minor injuries sustained]. All the comments are fucking praising the driver for their quick-thinking and driving skill!
Does nobody else think perhaps the driver should be driving slower? Totally insane that somebody who is driving fast enough to still hit a child is then praised for it. -

People who take their trolley of shopping to their car, remove said shopping into car and then leave the trolley in the parking space next to where their car was parked.
Too lazy to walk it a few steps to the trolley point. And we wonder why this country is the most obese in Europe.

We moved house and inherited a petrol lawn mower. I'm not in to that and the garden isn't exactly large so bought a cheap electric one. 3rd time using it on Sunday and it just died. Tried to get the petrol one working but it won't start, I don't have the knowledge or will power to bother trying to fix it. Now I'm going to have to pay for someone to come and fix this one, and if they can't buy a new bloody one.

It was a £60 plug in rather than fancy battery one. And I have no idea how I'd even send back something that size
Absolute cuntish behavior.
