  • Didn't he backtrack on this and say that there were only due to be 5 and the rest were being upgraded?

Yes, once. Then he has (and his sucessors have) trotted out the same "40" line ever since without correction or being corrected by the media.

  • Is it actually only 5? If so 40% of them are helping level up Cambridge.

  • Johnson is probably on the hook to HMRC himself.
He strikes me as the type of guy who mistakes income for disposable income and fails to put aside half of each 'cheque' for a speaking engagement to cover the eventual tax liability.

  • That's a new one, unless you're talking about eton and whatever stupid made up words they speak.

  • I have a feeling my wife said Dyson paid for a new wing at the RUH in Bath and that was classed as one of the upgrades even though it was privately funded.

  • He strikes me as the type of guy who fails

    James Dyson? Odious character

  • Yes and yes. Having said that he has ploughed a lot of money into the RUH (neonatal and now cancer wards) probably a tax benefit, but still more than the Tories have invested in the hospital.

  • His ex wife got the Islington house, it sold in 2019 for £3.75m

  • That was done about 10 years ago though

  • Cancer center opens 2023 (my wife is a cancer nurse there)

  • People might vote for a bastard party if it gets the job done, but no one wants to back self-interested, bent bastards.

  • Great line.

However I’m not sure that it’s all as done and dusted as that - there remains a hardcore of 20% who, despite everything, still back the self-interested, bent bastards then there’s the 8% for Reform where I wouldn’t bet on a deal being struck. Add in the shy Tories (and fuck me, there’s a lot to be shy about) and it’s getting to over 30% without the effects of voter suppression via ID to vote being factored in let along inevitable Labour infighting, relentless attacks on the latter party in the media and, in some seats, Labour and Lib Dems splitting the vote.

So, it’s all to play for but, whatever happens, vote and encourage others to vote in any way in their constituency that will rid us of these cruel, incompetent thugs.

(PS Have I hidden that I’m a shy Tory well enough?)

  • Sorry to disappoint anyone but Bojo aint never gonna struggle for money when he can rake in hundreds of thousands for a speech.

  • He just seems to have an endless need for cash, with no depth to which he will not stoop (grammar?) to get it. Shilling crypto comes to mind.

More than life-changing sums of money (e.g. the £800k loan) seem to come and go without filling the void.

Very different to Blair, who similarly made a ton of money after leaving office, but has an enormous property portfolio to show for it.

  • Very similar to Winston Churchill though, who was pretty much in debt to everybody all of the time.

  • He had a massive palace to look after (Blenheim) as well as a pretty expensive Pol Roger habit

Its got to be time for some NFTs being sold to the gammon's via the daily mail, Make Brexit Great Again

  • He’d go Trump style but mocked up as a beefeater or some such

  • Just saw it’s the new one up the Wells Rd..Dyson donated £4m the far larger costs came from elsewhere, but he’s always been about branding

  • I am not sure if we need further clarification of Mogg's cunt credentials, but just in case:

Labour and the Liberal Democrats have called on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to suspend Mr Raab while he is under investigation.

But Mr Sunak has said he will wait for the outcome of Mr Tolley's inquiry before taking any action.

Former Conservative cabinet minister Jacob Rees-Mogg said it was "completely sensible" for Mr Raab to remain in post while the investigation is ongoing.

Asked about the allegations against the deputy prime minister, Mr Rees-Mogg told Sky News: "I think we've got to be slightly careful about the bullying allegations.

"We mustn't be too snowflakey about it. People need to be able to say this job has not been done well enough and needs to be done better."

The comments were described as "outrageous" by the FDA union, which represents civil servants.

The union's general secretary, Dave Penman, accused Mr Rees-Mogg of "trivialising bullying that we know has ruined lives and careers".

Labour said Mr Rees-Mogg was "seeking to belittle the serious claims of bullying and intimidation" made against Mr Raab and "he should be ashamed of himself".

  • Dominic raab should be in the bin, worst cunt. JRM ultimate worst cunt.

  • To get an idea of Churchill's annual alcohol consumption, here's what
he ordered in 1908, the year he married Clementine:

    nine-dozen bottles and seven-dozen half-bottles of Pol Roger 1895
vintage champagne, plus four-dozen half-bottles of the 1900 Pol Roger
    vintage

six-dozen bottles of St Estèphe (red) wine

    five-dozen bottles of port

seven-dozen bottles of sparkling Moselle (white) wine

    six-dozen bottles of whisky

    three-dozen bottles of 20-year-old brandy

    three-dozen bottles of vermouth

    four bottles of gin
