Bought this to ride trails and gravel but geography and time limiting how much I can do that, so it's not getting the use it deserves.
This is a beast. It'll roll over anything, but is surprising fast on road and fun off. It's been cleaned and degreased after ever ride so everything works as new. No marks at all on the frame.
It's also a bike to tour on, with multiple braze ons. Take it up to the Highlands for a couple of weeks and go where the hell you want. It'll handle anything.
I also did my 30 mile daily commute on it in ice and snow and it was perfect for that. Gives you total confidence on all surfaces.
Shimano Deore gears, drivetrain and hydraulic discs (stopping power is awesome).
Steel (Genesis' own rigid chromoly) frame and fork.
27.5 inch wheels with WTB Trailblazer 27.5 × 2.8 tyres
Mudguards especially sourced from Germany (these have kept drivetrain and frame free from winter road filth)
Velo bars
Shimano SPD double sided pedals
Two spare tubes and saddlebag to carry them.
