You’ll love the football thread.

I love sports. Weird fan hatred is weird.
-
• #21706
Here’s a genuine justified hate.
How come Neo-Nazi 90’s pop band Ace of Base still get airplay in the U.K.?Actual Nazis singing Nazi stuff.
-
• #21707
Wait. What? Are they? Yet another part of my pre teen self dies.
-
• #21708
Are you referring to the Vice and Cracked articles?
An interesting counter article https://stevengamble.com/on-musical-meaning-as-messages-or-why-ace-of-base-probably-arent-nazis/

LOl at that cracked article.

Hate is too strong a word, but the tennis player Novak Djokovic is perhaps my most disliked sportsperson.

Vice
Ekberg's response has been fairly noncommittal. In a 1997 documentary, he is quoted saying "I told everyone I really regret what I did. I've closed that book."
Lol. Yeah dudes really sitting on the fence there isn't he!?
If it seems too light I think that speaks to how written online discourse has changed how we speak. Nowadays you'd need to have a lengthy carefully crafted statement to make sure there's no ambiguity.

Yeah a bit of a dick

The counter article’s even poorer than the cracked article

In what way?
-
• #21715
In what sense?
-
• #21716
Based on the above equally shit conflicting evidence written by half-wits I’ve decided the correct position to take about whether one of the blokes from Ace of Base really regrets being a Neo Nazi and if so whether he regrets it enough is the fence-sit.

Sorry do be more specific:
Is the cranked article what you are basing the AoB Nazi claim on?
-
• #21718
Now, be completely honest with yourself while answering this question. What is more likely: That a confirmed former(?) Nazi just randomly threw two words together when coming up with a band name and landed on the perfect inverse of the nickname of one of the most impressive structures ever produced by the Nazi war machine by coincidence?

Having to change work passwords.
"Your new password does not meet minimum length, character requirements and/or historic changes" but does not tell you what the length or character requirements are. Then I hate entering the old password for the next few days until I remember I changed it.

Passwords. Just passwords. Fuck those guys. I bet loads of people have the password fucking-passwords123

Then I hate entering the old password for the next few days until I remember I changed it.
I've had this recently. The numeric bit of my new work password has ended up being totally unnatural to type so it seems to take me ages to get it right.
Plus all the fucking Altassian products logging me out every 10m - "its been more than an hour..." NOT IT FUCKING HASN'T YOU LYING POS!

• #21722
Really? Please elaborate?

Timewasters who arrange to see my car for sale then don't turn up, or turn up and criticise everything about the car (an old citroen) - this particular prick is a rich local bloke with 2 x lamborghinis and he said "it's really underpowered isn't it , doesn't go that fast" - not compared to your twat mobiles no, it doesn't.
Then the very polite , good chat on the phone bloke - i'll give you a time / date and come see it
SILENCE ...Tumbleweed.....

I found with old motors stick 'em on eBay with a warts n'all description, collection only obvs. Have done 3 or 4 this way and they always sold at reasonable price with no grumbles afterwards.
Teenslain (formerly of this parish) had to stop listening to the Archers when it replaced Dick Barton Special Agent on the Light Programme.
One for the OGs there...
