Any real life eg of someone who has gone to prison for something similar?
The burden of proof for this situation is quite high. I'm not sure, "smells like bullshit" is sufficient.
I mean don't get me wrong, I wish there were more repercussions for him. But I don't think he's getting any particularly far out special treatment.
Tax avoidance = legal
Tax evasion = illegal
From the sound of it, it sound 100% like tax evasion.
