Balloon-tyred commuter/shopper/bike-packer/SS conversion? You decide.
Purchased s/hand about 6 years ago for a road-based bikepacking trip in France, this has been my first choice for gentle-paced recreational rides ever since. Having just had a significant birthday, I have decided to juggle my fleet and will move this one on.
The frameset still looks smart but sports several small chips - the previous owner used it on the South Downs. Most of these have been touched-up with a blob of rust-proof primer but I've never got round to finding a matching colour to finish the job. The black spots have never really bothered me - it's patina innit!
The Alfine hub has been well maintained during my ownership having had two oil changes in around 4,400km. It will come with a complete oil change kit ready for your next one. It can dribble a little when full and, whilst this settles down, I would change some of the seals if I was keeping it. A new 'A' seal is included in the sale along with an 18-tooth sprocket. I have been running a 20 for lower ratios.
An adjustment wheel is missing from one of the Avid BB7's. A new pair of pads is included in the sale.
I have been running Schwalbe Big Apples for a buttery-smooth ride. The pair on the bike have plenty of wear left and there is another part-used tyre included along with a spare inner tube.
Don't be put off by the frame size. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam and have completed back-to-back loaded centuries in comfort on this....albeit with Ergon GP5 grips (not included).
£250 seems a sensible price to me with the additional bits and pieces but happy to discuss.
Based in West Sussex but happy to meet-up within reason. I will be travelling to, and from, north Lincolnshire in the next few days if that helps.
Love this. Genesis made some cool MTBs. Shame they stopped.

Formatting Help
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Your code goes here
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
