Still not using it much, but it makes for a good tinker. Pretty close to original "winter trundle mtb" brief now. Chainring and sprockets should arrive soon enough then I can leave it alone for a bit again

Had a "fun" afternoon trying to dinglespeed this over the weekend. Realised I'd bought an inner chainring for my triple crankset, had a panic I should have gone for the middle position, settled myself, started removing cranks, realised I'd given back my pal's tool, had a panic, removed the outer chainring and managed to squeeze the new 28t around the 4 arms, realised I'd bought an asymmetric ring for symmetric cranks, moved beyond panic to mild despair.
I did get the tape measure out for some rough chainline calculations though, so not all in vain. Willing myself to order the chainring I need today, let's see how it goes.Otherwise, anyone got some cheap xc-ish tyres they'd part with? I think I can do 2.4" max

Dingle dingle! These sprockets are terrible, and chainline(s) are a best guess but progress is progress

Are the horizontal dropouts long enough to work with both cogs?

I'll also have two chainrings, the inner being 4t smaller than the outer, meaning I should be able to swap between the two gears with minimal movement hopefully (never done it before)

Interesting! And it's good motivation to keep your chain clean
