  • Rutland Cycling are doing a BOGOF sale on Moon lights at the moment. I've used Moon for years and have been pretty happy with all of them.

  • If of any interest to anyone, if like me you've struggled getting a good light beam over a stuffed basket, PDW do something called an Outpost Mount, that bolts onto the basket. Seems pretty rigid and solves a problem. Wish I'd found it earlier.

  • Anyone know if there’s an out front garmin mount that will take a Lifeline Pavo underneath? I can’t figure out what attachment I’d need to enable me to angle it down

  • I got tooted at, a super slow over take and called a ‘cunt’ as in switch your flashing light off you cunt, today by a chap in a focus on my ride home. So I can whole heartedly recommend the Exposure TraceR rear light.

  • Has anyone used both Ravemen and Exposure lights and can give opinions on both? I'm torn between a Sirius and PR1200.

  • I have a 2 x Raveman and an exposure Diablo and have used a Sirius.
The raveman pr1200 and the cr 1000.
They’re all good. I think the raveman has better battery life

  • Cheers. I'm leaning towards the pr1200. Moar power and the ability to use it as a power bank is helping I think...

  • The pr1200 is used for commuting and is great. I’ve used the cr1000 in the lanes at night, that’s at least as good as the Diablo 13.

  • 1200 is aesthetically challenging

  • Yeah, the Sirius definitely wins on that point!

  • Anyone know of a cheaper alternative to these fork crown and seat stay mounts for Exposure Sirius and Tracer lights?

  • Nitto lamp holder 6 + a exposure trace GoPro mount for the seatstay

  • Thanks, that's a good shout!

  • My trusty Halfords light is finally starting to give up the ghost with reducing battery times and developing a bit of a rattle. Have been generally pleased with it, in terms of brightness and burn time, but also the ability to mount it on a go-pro mount under my computer, and keep it off the bars.

Thinking of doing a replacement for this one, which is a slight upgrade in terms of brightness and ability to swap out the batteries. Any thoughts or alternatives?

  • any recommendations for a wired-into-the-battery ebike light for my omnium mini with steps e6100? would also like a fender mounted rear light. plan is to drill the front of the platform for a mount and have the light hanging slightly under the rack.

  • Does anyone know what the inside of an exposure red eye cable looks like? Want to extend it a bit to reach the mudguard rather than the seatpost and short of buying exposures own extension cable wondered if I could do the same with some existing 2-core Dynamo cable from a B&M light and some heatshrink. Don’t want to cut the cable and find I can’t however!

  • How much would compatible batteries be? One of the reviews mentions Halfords doesn't sell them.

  • Removing the hinge pin on these mounts is a BIG improvement in design

  • Anyone done repairs on their Exposure Trace lights? My button has gotten very flakey.

  • I’ve sent things back to exposure for a service and can recommend. Very easy to do, and back within a week (admittedly pre covid) for a replacement switch on an exposure toro. Get in touch via the website I think?

  • Ditto. Had an out of warranty Tracer repaired very recently and came back within a couple of weeks working like a brand new light. Highly recommended

  • Were there a massive form to fill out? That's my recollection from the last time I tried to contact them.

  • I think I emailed them them first, they sent over a service form (basic contact details, problem with the light, hoped for outcome) and then sent it off with the reference they provided. This was some years ago now so imagine it may have changed!

  • My Tracer rear light has stopped charging, so I emailed their support team via the address at the bottom of this web page on Sunday evening. Had a response at 8 am on Monday morning, including the form that @C4r1s mentioned above, filled it out and got a form returned to include in the parcel, posted the light on Tuesday and was notified they'd received it yesterday. Not sure what's going to happen next, but have been impressed so far.

  • I didn't realise this was a service. I have a Link and the power/mode button is now very difficult to use. They'll repair that?
