  • That's the thing people should remember when they travel. If a local food or drink is any good it will travel too.
    This is why nobody outside Croatia drinks Croatian wine, or why Cognac is world-renowned but only the locals think that Pineau de Charente is anything other than paintstripper. It's why the world outside the Lot valley doesn't put duck on pizza, or why fried carp remains stubbornly Polish.
