I wanted this set already, now I NEED it. Cookie monster wave was my desktop background for years.

But you can't have it! It's out of stock everywhere*.

This. Bought mine on Jan 1st. Still wasn't quick enough for the Skyline Speed Champions set so I'm waiting for that.

Some of the big sets are insane prices. Someone listed the entire Ice Planet set collection (unboxed) for only £250 the other day. Should have bought it. Regret.

Also sorry. Rabbit holes of nostalgia are expensive.

Enjoyed the nostalgia wave. I can see at least 4 sets of it I know we definitely had. No boxes tho obvs.

Bought this on a whim for £9 at the supermarket.
Enjoyed making it, but it the process is almost too similar to what I do at work (commercial electrician), so my brain went into work mode a bit and hurriedly put it together as if it was a time trial, lol.
Very satisfying lifting action and articulation tho!

Also a bit bonkers seeing resale prices online. I saw the Audi Quattro in the supermarket for about a tenner, maybe £12, when they came out a few months ago and they’re now £35 on eBay!

The accurate prices are for completed sales. Maybe I should sell my dinosaurs, £10 at Tesco just over a year ago, lots of completed sales on ebay at over £20, and the fact that they're still in sealed boxes says I'm not desperate to build them myself 🙂

Nice, didn’t realise they came in so many colours, looks like the blue one has emptied the spaceship’s minibar?

I'm still missing black, green, purple and grey (purple and grey were never released but can be made from other minifigs).

The blue one is Benny from the Lego Movie. You can get 'normal' blue ones but Benny has the broken chin bar on purpose, which is a common defect on original ones and the great expression so I prefer him.

I remember when they were just white or red for a few years and then when the third colour came out (can’t remember whether it was blue or yellow) it was the coolest thing ever. My brother of course got one before me.
