Lightbicycle carbon wheelset

Surplus to requirements, I have these wheels for sale. I’d much rather keep them, but I’ve just bought some boras and I already have one set of spare wheels knocking around and definitely don’t need another.

They are lightbicycle rims built onto Novatec hubs with Sapim CX Ray spokes and brass nipples. The rims are 35mm deep and have an internal width of 19mm and an external width of 25mm. The rims have a grooved graphene brake track which gives much better braking than a regular brake track. The wheels currently have an 11 speed Shimano freehub fitted but I can swap for a Campagnolo freehub should you want.

These wheels are great, weight is approx 1400grams for the pair and they are lovely to ride. Novatec hubs sometimes get stick for not being as hard wearing as DT Swiss but I’ve found them great. Bearings are cheap to source and if the bearings ever need replacing, swapping them out is an absolute doddle.

I originally had a pair of these on my Serotta and I liked them so much I bought another matching set for my Look, both of which I attach here so you can get an impression of how they look on steel frames should you be after a MGOOF build or a more HHSRB chunky carbon build.

I’ve used the wheels climbing in the Alps and Pyrenees and they are super nice for climbing whilst also feeling reassuring when descending. I’ve also used them in the flats of Belgium, Germany and Denmark without getting blown off the bike in crosswinds either which is one of the benefits of not having 60mm rims.
The wheels are true and there’s loads of life left in the brake tracks. Freehub has a nice click (if that’s your bag) but it’s also easily muffled with a bit of grease in the pawls. They can be set up either tubeless or clincher and work great in either configuration. I’ll include the quick release skewers, if you want a cassette that can be negotiated.

Hi what's the mileage on these please?

I'm also keen on a closer look at these pending condition.

Looking for reasonably low profile rim brake carbon hoops, ideally new, but there's not a whole lot out there anymore.
