Dolan Pre Cursa - £130

Originally bought off @Thrasher https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/379622/ - this bike deserves a better life than the one I've given it.

It's a medium 54/55...

Basically the same as the previous listing, now with On One Marys (with a 25.4 spacer) instead of the Eastons, destickered rims, some new stickers, a Zefal Gizmo for your hydration needs + some little quirks...

Those quirks being, I stored it outside, like an idiot.

• The screw on the inner side of the right bolt-on grip is rounded out. The left grip comes off fine so if you wanted to switch handlebars you can get the front brake off pretty easy. If you wanted new grips, you'll just want to saw off that collar or something. Idk.
  
• The forks had a bit of a scratching, seems to be all just on the lacquer.
  
• There's a fair bit of surface rust. It seems all good though.
  
• The brake could do with recabling/tinkering/just replacing idk. Think the cable's too short on the Mary's? Pictures incoming of how it just gets stuck n u gotta just nudge it back.

I've still got the OG eastons kicking about if you want those too.

Don't want to post tbh + would rather get this out of my hair before I start thinking fixed is a good idea for me again!
All proceeds will go to me giving up on skidding + going back to a /retro mtb of choice, looking at a trek singletrack for the beater of choice rn, big basketlyfe 2023 incoming/ :)

Yeah it's just the nuts and bolts that have rusted really! Super light frame, a dream to run up the stairs with and throw back on the balcony. Had a cetma rack on it for a bit which was fun, but ultimately a reminder of "stop trying to make this bike into something it's not"

Please can I have the bars???

The Eastons? If so sure, shoot me a DM and we can work it out! Might be able to post the bars to be fair, I'm guessing they're Royal Mailable? But if you've got a pal whose going to see you soon, whatever works.

Mary's are v much stuck on the bike, largely because otherwise it'll be "lItErAlLy UnRiDeAbLe" for whoever nabs it

Update: @Josh is keen on the mary's, so if you want to BYO grips I can sort out popping on the Eastons - buyer discretion as to what you'd like tho as I'm keen to get this gone <3

If it starts being split, curious about the frame with headset only.

I would definitely take the frame if split. (2nd Dibs I guess)

V unlikely to happen bc I'm looking to shift it all really - but,,, there is the option for £130 and you get some free parts ;)

fwiw the woman who bought the bike (your friend i believe!) sent a lovely heart warming message about how much she apreciated @jjiimmii selling it to them after their bike was stolen :^)

I’m aware of the situation, I just didn’t particularly agree with the way it was handled; as well as the bike in question being stolen, wasn’t even locked!?
No sympathy on my side unfortunately, if you can’t even lock a bike in central london you are asking for it to be nicked

Confused to be honest
Nothing at all to do with gender, I’d have the same reaction if a male had their bike stolen and it was unlocked

Fwiw, what happened was...

• got a dm about shipping to Germany, said no sorry just looking to do this easy as possible!
  
• they sort out a friend collecting n i say cool! Just want it to go to someone who'll enjoy it
  
• have a wee bit of haggling about prices for bars. Really, I was never looking to make £££, just pay off the new retro mtb frame imma cop. So I haggle down to 115 with the eastons, same price without, was never looking to split it all apart
  
• agree to sell eastons n ask for PayPal, Ross messages to sort collecting it Saturday as its the day he's in london anyway, he's got the money n will just pay on collection
  
• find out from a friend that someone had their bike nicked in Hackney. Things suck n cycling means a lot to stolenbikefriend
  
• friend asks if stolenbikefriend could cop n I go you know what? sure. thats a tough situation! Have it for 100, as that'll pay off the new frame
  
• I let Ross whose collecting know about the situ n go sorry but I think this is the right thing to do
  
• get sent the money instantly, friend picks it up this morning from my flat, a v relaxed deal, n stolenbikefriend is back in the saddle after going through a rough week
  
  

But anyways, glad they're back on their feet n muchos apologies for the faff.
