• Superb wasn't it.

  • Another poster for the collection

3rd in Flory's Jurassic park series.

  • That is a great pic!

    Releases on Thursday
(As I got the last 2 I got an early buy code)

  • I’ll drag them out at some point for a pic but I’ve got a thing for early 1990s karrimor rucksacks and bike luggage...:

  • I have a couple you might be interested in!

  • Might expand my toy collection to include action figures.

I am a bit of a Beastie Boys fan, and these are mint.

Blunt Graffix have a cool monochrome Sabotage poster I might get too, fashion some sort of display with the poster and these three bad brothers (you know so well).

  • They are v cool

  • I don’t know where to post this so it might as well be here.

A few years ago I literally stumbled across a Victorian bottle dump on the outskirts of our town and can’t resist going for a rummage with my son whenever the urge takes. The picture below was from a quick half hour dig at the weekend which I’ve just blitzed with a toothbrush.
The problem I have is where to put the massive quantity of bottles, meat paste jars, ink wells, chemist vials etc. Suggestions welcome as I just give them away at any opportunity- the fun is the excavation.

  • That flask at the back, the blue and the marmite are all very cool.

There's no market for them? I'd probably pay a few quid for the flask if I saw it in a flea market or jumble sale/car boot.

  • That Tool gig was incredible. When the Parabola video came on it melted my mind.

I think I still have the ticket in an old cigar box, which I fished this out of a few years ago.

  • Love a good bottle dump find, well jealous:)

  • RATM at the Astoria must have been sublime !

  • is there a market?

Not really, loads of people on eBay selling ten for a tenner etc. The really collectible are early and coloured glass but I think our dump has been known about for a while. One seller has bottles from our local brewery that closed in 1910 so I reckon I’m not the only magpie. In fact my next door neighbours children who are now in their late 40s recall digging in it as kids…
I find it fascinating to google how old each one is - oh you better believe there are bottle forums!

  • Yo Dethbeard. I’ve just picked up an old film poster which needs framing but it’s massive - 60”x 40”. In your experience would you go perspex or glass?

  • Never had anything that big, I tend to just buy IKEA 36x24 frames (standard size for AMPs) with poly

Glass will be pretty heavy at that size, so make sure you secure it well to the wall.

  • My better half has a great collection of German stamps and coins (Euro and Deutschmark). Not really part of a collection, but she also has an Iraqi Dinar bank note with Saddam Hussein's ugly mug on it.

Aside from bikes, I only collect worries. :-/

  • Cheers, I'll see what the framer says. Sadly not destined for my wall but I will be making sure it's not going to squash anyone. #flatstanley

  • Wow … Flat Stanley ! That takes me back ….

  • an Iraqi Dinar bank note with Saddam Hussein's ugly mug on it

I have one of those on the wall - when I was bumming round Iraq some guy who spoke English tracked me down and took me out for tea - presented me with the note as a parting gift.

  • The premise of that book scarred me for life and I remember having nightmares about getting squashed. A quick google shows they’ve rehashed it!

  • I looked up how much they might be worth . There’s a 250 Dinar note, on eBay, currently at just under seven quid.

  • Oh yeah, won't be valuable, there must've been billions of Saddam banknotes floating round. It's just nice to have one given as a gift from a nice Iraqi guy. I'm not much of a collector, but usually keep a banknote from every country I go to.

  • Ah I’m simply always looking for ways to pay this mortgage without putting in any particular effort…
