Need to look at it in more detail but a just serviced 2010 Seamaster is available locally for just under £2k - assuming that condition is decent that sounds a keen price, no?

But do you really want it? Don’t just spunk £2K because it’s below market, buy it because it sparks joy. #patronisingdad

I’m thinking of buying my dad some kind of watch for his 60th next year. Perhaps a birth year vintage watch. In my vague preliminary searches, I was thinking perhaps a Seamaster, since there seem to be a lot of them around. Any suggestions on how to find a good one, and any other watches to consider? Budget up to £1k, ideally less.

First time for everything! I really hate the process of selling so advocate holding fire until the real grail stuff comes along. Some people like to flip so there might be a few quid in it but personally, I’d sit on my cash.
