What time is it? Watches and horology

They’re adorable (can’t decide whether the orange is the best or not) but the not-full moon used in the moon phase indicator would bug me forever.

Anybody saw one of these in real life? I'm looking for a black watch and i quite like this from the photos

I've not seen the Bamford but I've had a carbon inox and I've seen carbon models from squale, zenith and hublot up close so affordable to very expensive and to my untrained eye the finish looks the same on all of them as they're all forged and there's nothing else you can do with the case or crown especially one on a rubber strap so hard to make look expensive and the Bamford isn't cheap. You could probably get a Tudor fastrider black shield for that. The carbon and blue seems to be a bit of a trend at the moment with Bremont x rapha and Squale doing it but it's a look that may not age as well as others.

Not a fan of the Tudor, i've always liked the breitling avenger blackbird so thats an option but a bit more expensive. There is an all black bamford as well. Any other reccomendations in the 2-3k range?

I know Bremont take a bit of a hammering on here but having tried a couple on i do like some of them but i just think they are overpriced at rrp. It seems like I'm not the only one as quite a few models are on sale now. I tried on the broadsword which has a very similar case to this alongside a longines spirit zulu time when i got my black bay and i think it was better finished than the longines.

A note on many of the recent entries. Black with red details on watch/car/bike/whatever is the universal colour code for male menopause. Avoid.

Male menopause? That'll explain why I've started to quite like Bremont and my recent but quite strong hankering for a Simmons Bilt B3

Let me see if I have a Breitling Avenger for you in that price range.

The U1 is 44mm chunk. Wears well, but on a bracelet mine was over 200g, I think.

44mm is ok (miss my Panerai) the avenger is 44mm as well, black/sport watches should be a bit bigger anw.

It’s a super cool watch!

Got this for a friend yesterday, comes with 2 dials and matching hands from 2001, bracelet has had a light polish.
