Just googled as I couldn't remember where I heard it was definitely not going to do this. Apparently conceived and pitched as a 5 season show.

I really liked season 1 of Yellow jackets. Trailer for S2 looks promising. I recall hearing somewhere that the creators had mapped out the whole storyline for all seasons so hopefully should avoid disappointment in that area (I'm looking at you Westworld)
