Yep, butted right up to the lever clamp.
To a certain extent, more swept back bars will mean your elbows will be further in which isn't as good for aggressive/tech riding but better for plodding out the miles.

I can haz I-links

I don't do anything agressive other than swearing at my bike or other things around me.
This is a mile-eater

If they arrive in time, I'm putting aerobars on this. So that will take some pressure off my hands but it won't help the shifting.

I dunno which I spec you haz but Google "i spec separate clamp" and take your pick.

sorry for the pedantry, they are not thumbies
-

The truth starts to come out. With separate clamps, my thumbs will rule you all.

• #25663
They are on my bike. Because that's what I call them. Just like someone else called the frame a Sherpa. I call it Stephanie. I don't really, but for the sake of argument...

Fine, I'll do it myself..

I see… I thought you meant getting a set of dual crown Ohlins to put on the Madonna for laps at Les Gets etc
Contemplating the dh frame that about to be released?
Groupset is easy - single speed.
Or if you must have gears, the updated Saint dh group must be getting a public release this year.A big bike needs big brakes though… in a related note, I had temporary moment of insanity recently and got a set of Cascade Components brake calipers. My only defence is that I paid less than half of rrp, but it’s still mental for two calipers.
Yet to install them though, will be interesting to see if the increased power claims can be validated.Yeah, the Madonna was such a big step up in terms of overall performance from the trail bike, for fast and steep stuff, that I'm interested in going to a full DH bike really just to see what it's like.
Saint drive-train would be straightforward, but I Have Opinions about things looking clean and would want to mount the shifter on the brake clamp - current Saint is I-spec B so that would work fine, but I assume a new version of Saint would be EV, which is a pain with Shiftmix.
Anyway, my rough specification would be:
Raaw DH frame, Ohlins 38 DH forks, TTX coil shock
Renthal stem/bars/post/grips
Ergon saddle
Saint shifting and drivetrain
Magura 220mm MDR-P rotors and MT7 front and rear, Oak levers
Pembree pedals
Not sure on wheels
DH casing DHR II and Assegai
Some sort of forklift to put it on the back of the chair-lift -

I thought the general consensus was that modern enduro bikes are so good at going downhill and coming back up, that a full DH bike is pretty much pointless unless you're racing WC DH or have constant access to uplifts

or have constant access to uplifts
It would be for this.

I'd maybe, only have a full DH if I lived inside a bike park. But only because bike parks ravage your bike if you are riding them day after day in the park. I'd rather a cheaper, older DH taking the battering and keep the trail bike for Sunday best.

I believe Neil lives at the top of a hill, and construction of his personal chairlift will commence shortly
Problem solvers and probably others make separate clamps for I spec shifters if you want to move it more.
