Forgot to add.
Going to get a Paul WORD DisC hub for the thru axle fixed fun.

Maybe an option in the future if I go with an RX hub.
It is a balance of matching chainline for 1x and for the Paul hub with a 52mm chainline when riding fixed. The 52mm is the same as the outer chainring on this double.
The Wolftooth NWN chainrings bring the crankset chainline in to about 47mm.

If you want a cheaper option, a 6 bolt disc rear hub could be reversed for a 53,5mm chainline with a bolt-on cog (shoulder of mount at 52mm)

Guess the issue with that would be how to run the disc brake on the other side.

Yes a bit clunky but you could have a 6bolt disc on an adapter, running brake forces through the freehub...
So I guess reversing a hub is only good if you dont need the brake.

Probably going to go with the Paul WORD disc or the Phil Wood Kiss Off. Benefit of the Paul is that it is TA possible and cheaper than the Phil Wood.

I bought a cheap 135mm disc-singlespeed threaded hub.
Plan is to use it with a threaded disc converter which can be had for a fiver/tenner from aliexpress on the threaded side for the rear disc that I will likely seldom use.Best option would be disc/disc of course, but nobody (?) makes them, and if yes, not cheap.
Although cheap is robably not important for this one. -

Are you sure you can get an adapter that'll allow you to run a standard rotor on a freewheel thread? I thought I had bought one (a while ago for a project that never happened) which came with a cheapo rotor that I was gonna swap out for a decent one but it turned out the bolt circle diameter on wasn't the usual one.

Ok, sounds weird. 6 bolt is 6 bolt right?
Didn't actually order one yet, but all the ones I see on aliexpress don't come with rotors anyway so presume they're standard.
Assumption is the mother of all fuckups though, so yeah, might not work. -

Gone for this in black 12mm TA:

I found this thread after searching for "Paul WORD", as I'm looking to run disc/fixed.
What happened in the end?

I've been running it simply as my fast geared road bike for club rides.
The WORD fixed wheel sits forlorn in the spare room as a project unmaterialised. I'd love to be able to go back and forth, but can't figure how to properly manage the shift cables when disconnecting the derailleur.

That's a shame.
Not sure what your plans are, but I will shortly need a WORD hub if you're interested in selling it (for a 650b wheel).
I'm the second owner of this frameset after purchasing during a insomnia fueled scroll through on eBay.
It is a
The frameset appears similar to this one but has slightly different rear stays and fork.
As I wanted flat mount brake in the back I've had to change to 12mm thru-axle Paragon Machine Works Rocker inserts. The fork is QR. Luckily my Reynold's wheels have changeable dropouts.
Build is going to be mechanical hydraulic and trying to use silver components where possible, so going with DA-9000.
Silver Chris King BB and Inset headset
Silver @mdcc_tester stem spacers and custom Talbot Stemcap should be on the way soon.
Shimano RS-685 shifters and Ultegra R8000 calipers
