Went to bike park wales yesterday, great day of minimal uphill pedalling. Need a new rear wheel and mech now though.
Anyone have a 27.5 boost rear wheel or wheel set and 12 speed sram rear mech for sale?

Always called that "Home Trail" as normally finish a Peas ride on that one. #SupernovaInnit

How do you live with such clutter!

Does pose the question of what the rest should be- group set and so on. Very much outside my area at this level of gravity orientation.

One shifter, one dropper, 2 brakes. Perfectly balanced and doesn't stop X-ups.
It's the Garmins I can't get my head around. Nice looking bike and then people slap a laptop on the front.

Garmin goes in the bar bag

No need, as I can fit a gaming PC with 28" monitor in my framebag

I see… I thought you meant getting a set of dual crown Ohlins to put on the Madonna for laps at Les Gets etc
Contemplating the dh frame that about to be released?Groupset is easy - single speed.
Or if you must have gears, the updated Saint dh group must be getting a public release this year.A big bike needs big brakes though… in a related note, I had temporary moment of insanity recently and got a set of Cascade Components brake calipers. My only defence is that I paid less than half of rrp, but it’s still mental for two calipers.
Yet to install them though, will be interesting to see if the increased power claims can be validated. -

Ha! I’m pretty sure the prototype new saint derailleur was first spotted on pro World Cup bikes at least 3 years ago, maybe longer 🤷♀️
-
• #25638
Thing is, current Saint works so well and DHers hardly need more gears

Cascade Components brake calipers
Wow. Them's pricey.
-
• #25640
Well exactly, it’s hard to see what sort of improvements they can make to what was pretty close to perfection
-
• #25641
Aye, stupid price, would never entertain it at full price. I got a set brand new just under half price, even at that it’s still bordering idiocy but here we are. 🙃

I won't be changing shifters before AMR. I might change bars though.
My thumb is basically 90deg to my arm when I'm shifting so I could do with maybe narrower and with more backsweep. Also my wrists default to a downward angle so I wonder if something curved downwards at the ends might help? Doesn't seem to be a very common design style though

XT. Think it's I-spec. It's one thing with a couple of bolts to adjust brake and shifter separate.

It's nature's way of telling you to walk with a singlespeed

I have a gripshift lockout on the SID. It's a pain because I always bump the button and it takes up half my grip. I'm looking to replace with a toggle lever and then Ergon grips but might not have enough time for that.

Got a pic of your shifter setup?
-
• #25647
Can't find one off-hand but I could take one later
-
• #25648
Ta.
Thinking about it while looking at my hands (what a morning) I think different bars would help. Question is which bars. I think mine come in a 740mm / 12deg version so that seems like a logical start.
-
• #25649
Actually I've found an out of focus pic. What you can see is that the shifter clamp can move in or out and rotate round the bar as much as you need. 780mm bars on this bike. Hardtail is 750.

From that angle it looks like you've got your thumbies much closer to your brakes which is what I'm trying to do.
What's the disadvantage to sticking bigger backsweep bars on? Because with the bars swept back, my wrists would be straighter.
I don't think there is such a thing
