At the top of the list is Cucurella. He has gone I think his confidence is totally shot. He is a decent player but not 60mil.
The mudryk thing strikes me as Bolehy seeing another man's toy and wanting to just snatch it away.
I don't know much about him really decent ?? -

Oh yeah big win for Potter that today

Similar story to much of last season, we were in the game but always looked vulnerable even at 1-0. Get after us and we crumble. Sacking Lampard would, I think, enrage the most vocal fans as they’ve clearly decided the problems are with the board. Whilst this is definitely true, and has been for some time, it also shouldn’t mean Lampard is beyond criticism. It’s not hard to imagine a better manager might do more with the players available - See Villa (better players tbf)

Bohely seems to have taken the same pills Moshiri did 6-7 years ago. Some of these signings 😱

Similar to chelse atm any team that pressures and puts some pressure on and Chelsea seem to crumble. Although it was better today. Good luck for the run in. Having a fit DCL will help.

Cucarella is a total pup, weren’t Man City into him for £45M (which in itself looks madly over valued) so Chelsea gazumped with another £15M?

Arsenal looking like the real deal. Tottenham were dogshit in the first half.

Spurs never turn up until the 2nd half.
Arsenal do look good they need to keep everyone fit
What was Loris doing for that 1st. Oh dear. -

Yep crazy.

It's all coming roses for arteta.
The spuds couldn't get going because of how Arsenal were playing.
Bring on utd.

• #164263
Incredible to think how close arteta must have been to the chop when he started out on that horror run.
You should all stick with your shit managers. -

…. I do wish you still had Gerard … !

well done Arsenal, happy with that
Ramsdale to face FA charges after assaulting foot of spurs fan with his back
Harry Kane to Utd methinks

Spurs fans more accurate with their feet than the players. Embarrassing all round.

The title is going to be extremely close. I think City might clinch it by three or four points.
We're not quite half way through the season. Arteta is talking about needing 90 points to clinch the title. That means we need 43 points out of the remaining 57 on offer. The last time we managed 40 points in the second half of the season was 2012/13.
I sure hope I am wrong, but I think the "Arsenal are going to win the league" people are shooting their loads a little too early.

Arsenal have coped with the loss of Gabriel Jesus so far, but the lack of depth in forward positions, especially so if Nketiah picks up an injury, is a concern. I'm not sure Mudryk was the right target, but it would be good if the club can bring another forward in this month.
Whatever happens now, the team have far exceeded expectations this season and played some fantastic football. I don't think I've ever seen an Arsenal team that start games as well as this one, yesterday was another example of how their first half performances win games.

Arsenal's extra bonus is that City and Liverpool are well below thier usual standard and Chelsea seem to have dropped off a cliff. It's similar circumstances for when Liecester won the league. Arsenal seem to have a clear plan of what they're doing, so regardless of whether they lose a few games they should still be well in the mix come the business end of the season.

City and Liverpool are well below their usual standard
This definitely shouldn't be undercooked. This is a massive opportunity for Arsenal. I hope they win it.

I hope so too. Weird that United will probably be their strongest challengers, wouldn’t have picked that 5 games into the season. Fair play to Eddie Howe and his blood-money, state-ordered-murder squad, they’ve been great so far.

I think that if we can get points from Utd and City I'll start to feel a little bit more optimistic but you'd think we were going in to the final ten games if you believed some commentators in the press today.

If its true and 90 points is needed to clinch the title this year, Arsenal haven't managed the necessary second half of the season points in a decade. City on the other hand have scored 40+ points in the 2nd half of the season 5 times in the last 6 years.
There's hope, there is a chance.

Managers are great at saying things publicly that they only half believe. It's all designed to relieve pressure on the team and manage expectations. He may well be right, but if he's looking at the teams around him, only Man Utd and Man City are really going to challenge that total and Arsenal are 8/9 points ahead of them both.
Arsenal haven't managed the necessary second half of the season points in a decade
How many times have Arsenal started the season like this in the last decade? I'm guessing none. From the outside at least they look like a different proposition to the various 'start well/fade' 'start badly/improve' arsenal sides of the post-wenger era.

Yeah if Arsenal can keep players fit it's going to be v interesting atm they are playing so well and Arteta has created a really string team bond. Ten Haaaaaaaage has worked some magic at Utd seeing where they were at the start of the season. Getting Ronaldo out of the club is a big part of that I think.
Those Arsenal bomber jackets.
