  • Totally nuts really, but I love it.

  • Thought I’d bump this as I am after a monster rug 3x4 metres . Need shipping in/to the EU. I remember someone mentioned a source for Moroccan rugs on Instagram but I can’t find it now.

  • I did find these colourful Moroccan ones via Insta - https://them.fr/en/28-colorful-moroccan-rug

  • That’s great, thank you!

  • Couple I bought in 2001 in Isfahan, guess that makes them on their way to being vintage. Currently in 'storage' at relatives as I have no space for them

Edit - I remember the day I was in the shop buying these and drinking tea, news came in that Herat in Afghanistan had been taken by the US, Iranian and Northern front forces, the people in the shop were jubilant that this signalled a brighter future as they had relatives there and also used to trade with people there. Super sad to think it's back under Taliban rule and that future they hoped for snuffed out again.

  • Nice rugs @greentricky shame that Afghanistan has reverted back under Taliban rule

  • It's a new day it seems - these are machine-washable rugs. Actually yoga-mat like mats, with a rug "cover". Quite nice I think, and affordable as well.

https://teppana.de (website only in German it seems 🤷)

  • I will need to pop photos up of my three I. Budapest.

One from Omani market in Salalah which is a lovely washed out white style.

A lovely one I had to get shipped from Erbil that was of Afghani origin in traditional red. This is probably my favourite even though it’s grotesquely large and I grotesquely overpaid for shipping.

And finally a small hall runner one from an afghani shop in Paris park high my wife picked up.

  • some nice rugs over at https://kenzaandco.com

  • Has anyone used https://kenzaandco.com to buy a rug in the UK?
