Not 100% sure on parking but the The Alma Inn in Harwich is an amazing pub and is definately worth a visit if you have time before getting on the boat.

Cheers chap, we’ll be sure to check it out if we get time.

You pay road tax don't you? Park wherever you like.

Redoubt and Landguard forts are worth a visit if you're at a loose end. Landguard needs a ferry ride to Felixstowe

I did the same last summer. Took the bike across on the ferry and left the car at Harwich.
I parked in the premier Inn car park which was super close to the port. Booked the space through yourparkingspace.co.uk for something like £30-40 for the week. No issues would recommend

Awesome, I’ve just had a look and it’s £30 to have a space for a month. £27.50 to have one for 8 days…
I would never have looked there so thank you. There’s also loads of space to unload the bikes and bags. -

Was super handy for me. Short few minute roll to the port after parking up.
There's a Lidl next door too for any boat snacks
Liz and I are off to Holland in the summer.
The plan is to drive to the ferry in Harwich and leave the car there, but to my surprise there’s no long term parking at the port. Or anywhere close.
Anyone have any tips or maybe a drive we could steal?
Cheers ta.
