  • Would never buy anything CDA. Fridge freezer from them and the freezer stopped working in warranty. CDA said they no longer made the part needed to fix. Their genuine offer to me to make it right was 40% off a brand new one.

    That was helpful. We found a Indesit one on eBay with cosmetic damage to the front of the door which has saved £100 or so. They're part of hotpoint/whirlpool so cheaper end but still branded.

    Only a year manufacturers' warranty, but you'd hope a main brand freezer should be fine. It's not like a dishwasher or washing machine with loads of parts.

    TBH once you put in all our various dimensions, built-in requirements, and discount the sub-99l ones there's not tonnes of choice anyway. £280 feels more sensible than >£500 for Nef/Bosch right now. It's not like there are loads of features on a stand alone freezer.
