  • Some new sections!
I might get training for next year!

  • Also, a reminder that it's Koksijde today, women's race at 1245 UK time, men's race at 1400.

  • I knew that it wasn't a World Cup anymore but a mid-week C2 is quite the drop! Good thing the racers make the race.

  • Is anyone going to watch the National Trophy on Sunday?

  • Hopefully. Are you racing?

  • No chance, I have been ill since before the regionals :-(

I was hoping to roll gently over though if it is dry, should be a good event!

  • That's frustrating. I've got a stinker of a cold at the moment, so I'm hoping it improves by Sunday. Not sure standing around outside for a few hours in January is the best treatment, especially as I still have one, and possibly two, races left.

  • Why was it downgraded?

  • I guess something to do with an argument with Golazo and whoever organises euro world cups on behalf of the UCI

  • Zoe Backstedt looking very strong today

  • Best races of the Kerstperiode? I've watched Diegem and that was great, any other good ones?

  • I'd watch Gavere, Loenhout and possibly Baal.

That's on the men's side. For the women, I enjoyed Gavere, Guillegem and Koksijde.

  • Zolder mens was good, especially if you don't know the result.

  • I’m after a Crockett or checkpoint with stranglehold dropouts in a 50/52? Ideally just a frame as I think I’ve got all the bits I need to cobble together for next season.

If anyone sees one can you just let me know, currently in the stashing money to one side stage.

  • One of the best ways to train for CX is winter base miles on classically styled rim brake bikes just sayin.

On the real what are stranglehold dropouts?

  • They’re treks way of letting you do gears and single speed

  • If you want to do winter base hit me up.

    How would you know?

On the real what are stranglehold dropouts?

  • On the real what are stranglehold dropouts?

you have been trained for this

  • OK Andy I had that coming.

These are called sliding dropouts! Is stranglehold trek's proprietary nomenclature?

  • Yes, basically.

It was impossible to resist the sly dig, but please be assured that it was done very much in jest.

  • I’m marshalling at the national champs today - the course is brutal. It’s hard just watching

  • Really good to see the nationals being live streamed on YouTube junior women about to start

  • …. that’s definitely a tough course for the juniors ….. Backstedt not making it a very exciting race for the Elites though … !

  • Is belgian nationals not available anywhere? Could have sworn it was on discovery + yesterday
