or open image in ms paint and edit accordingly

In your case then you have to describe the cover in 5 words.

I can do that, but then can't C&P the image over.

Save the cropped image and then use the 'upload a file' option at the bottom of the box you're writing your comment in.

Or I'm all for @greeno suggestion of a 5 word description for a bit of added confusion.

Can't even remember how I did that - it was more than a decade ago!

I'm not able to use photo-sharing websites, as I only have work laptops where they're BlueCoated.

I can copy the address of a picture on the internet and put it into the image link on a post.

I've saved a clip as .png and tried to upload it - I can see the snip at the bottom of the box, but it doesn't upload when I post.
