Honestly I got it purely because it was black than performance.

Thanks both. It's a huge improvement on the Volt 400 or whatever the standard one is.

So it seems the v4 CHPT3 will be out fairly soon.
Not so sure about the colour way myself, correct me if I'm wrong but it's essentially just a P Line in a novelty colourway with tanwalls, at least pre P Line when superlighrs were harder to come by, the CHPT3 had a bit more of a special feel to it. -

if anyones after a decent used brom I just finished up this revamp; pretty much all the mod cons fitted; brought right up to date and rides like a dream.
Classic Hobbs build; wider bars with ergo grips!

What's a good 165mm crankset to replace the standard brompton?

Buyers gonna buy (for ebay anyways).
Surprised they didn't venture straight to T-line for ultimate racers edition.

Doesn't that require a new BB? Plus it's not black.

Gah…do not want!

• #12818
Meh. Shame.

It looks more like a Rohloff hub.
Yet there is a battery bag on the front but the front hub doesn’t look like an electric one...
As an aside, is there some technical reason why the rear mudguard needs to be shorter if there is a rack fitted?
-
• #12820
R type and l type blades are the same length?
-
• #12821
Oh OK. I ask because 1) I remember, earlier in the thread, someone who was fitting a rack being advised to cut the rear guard shorter and 2) that guy on the prototype has been flinging some mud - but it might be because he doesn’t have the little angled bit on the rear guard and has been doing some off-road testing.

Not a stock rack, so the flap .. flaps as the supporting bolt is about 30-40mm higher
that guy on the prototype has been flinging some mud
big tyres.. guards arent that far round

looks like a Rohloff
yeah I thought that at first, but (squints) I can't see a gearbox?
