  • As a counterpoint, with some n=1 anecdotal evidence, I’ve commuted for almost 4 years on Gravelking slicks, regularly riding over glass in the cycle lanes, as well as some longer winter road riding in the countryside and light bridleway riding in the summer. I’ve had 3 punctures. One sealed on its own and I plugged the other two with no issues. Eventually replaced the rear because the tread wore out, but it wasn’t excessively cut up when I removed it.

  • I'm in the same boat. I've had various flavours of GK on 3 different bikes over the last couple of years, all with inner tubes, and had something like 2 or 3 punctures in that time. They ride a lot nicer (if slightly slower) than the Vittorias I replaced the worn out pair on my road bike with.
