• Those Gazelle forks look approximately 1,000,000% better than the Columbus ones.

    This ^

  • new page

thanks for the feedback - in any case, I'll keep an eye out for a nice quill & bar combo.

  • from the red gazelle (last page) it is a nitto NP stem and a deda piega bar which has a nice modernish profile. both in 26mm dia

  • Loving all your bikes / builds (surprisingly, especially the caads ;-))

For the Gazelle I have a nice NOS ITM Eclypse in the basement which will see no use with my projects i recon.

    I think its 110mm c-c

Shoot me a DM if interested

  • Thanks! I'll get back to you regarding that Eclypse, length should work.... :)

  • Gazelle looks great, lovely background furniture as always! What are the cages on the CAAD 5? They look black or carbon to me but maybe it's just the light.

  • It's these by Rose Bikes in black. Same in silver are what's on the CAAD 4 now (not pictured), plus I have a couple on the way for the Gazelle. Really like them (plus they're €4!!!).

  • They look great but sadly Rose no longer shipping to the UK. Thanks though!

  • @jono84
If you want them badly we can figure it out

Happy to forward them on to you, just hmu

    ✌🏼

  • Ah that would be amazing, i'll pm you and stop derailing this thread

  • Progress.
Carbon forks it is - for now.
Final built will have full silver bits - stem / seat post / steerer.
Seat post is giving me a bit of a headache; seems 27.0 rather than 27.2 is the correct size? will sort this out. Likely by trial and error.
the rims, for now, are silver aksiums. Stem will be updated to 120mm -17 in silver.

  • Frankly I think the black/silver mix blends in nicely with the paint scheme of the frame and the black fork

  • Looks already promising and will be even better with all the silver parts. And another vote for the original forks and quill stem

  • If it's 531c it should be 27.2. Probably the clamp was done up too tight in an earlier life. But be careful because that gazelle seat cluster is more fragile than it looks.

  • Yes, get it reamed. Fiver job

  • It appears the first 27.2mm post I tried is ever-so-slightly oversized. Tried a few others and no problem. Mind you this is after I bought three different seatposts sized <27.2... Well, glad that's sorted... . :|

now with 0 setback silver post.

  • That's going to look great once you put the pink fork back on :-)

  • @all - I'm sorry; sticking with the Minimal for the foreseeable future. Maybe I can meet you half way and have this painted to match? mmm....

  • All silver UNO for now.
Shakedown ride past the Dieren Gazelle factory this Monday.
Pic is not flattering, and a few I's still need dotting, but pretty happy thus far.
    Proper photos coming soon.

  • Nice you did visit Dieren, good cycling area too!

  • @JanWillem . Okay, that settles it - those forks must be pink!
