Yeah it's a decent piece of kit but I wouldn't bolt any e-kit to a bike without uprating the brakes if that makes any sense?
That's my personal opinion.
Coincidentally, customer came in today asking us to fit a kit to a Pashley, not even kidding. Flat no.
Having repaired quite a few bikes with the kits bolted on, it's disc brake or nought.
Based on the above, I'll digress, it does go pretty fast.
Well beyond the capabilities of any V-brakes let alone calipers, if the brakes need to be be applied hard.
Oh yeah, with the added torque, the rim will wear prematurely, hence a rebuild will be required way earlier.
That said, I'm in the process of converting a couple of Pashley posties to e-bikes and I'm going disc forks front for now to get them on the road.
Would very likely get the same for the rear depending on how the tests go.
