I rode GK SK+ for Badlands and had zero issues. They're gonna go on my partner's bike when she kills her current tyres. But I think a lot of the whinging is about GK Slicks rather than the heavier duty version I used.

Nah they are all shit in the UK where we have flints and rain that lubricates them. Been on too many rides where the only punctures are GKs of all flavours.

I've used the SK for a while and yet to get a puncture.

But tbf, that's almost entirely outside of the UK and in nice weather. Although they did 2 horrendous wet mixed surface December trips over the Chilterns and Peak District and survived.
