I find the best way to place traps is have two or three in a row with the bait/ trap side adjacent to the wall. They prefer to scuttle along by walls and if they escape one trap are more likely to race into the next one.
Foolishly I put out a solo trap the other day only to find it had been triggered and the bait eaten. I need to find another trap to put next to it. It is a little unnerving to hear scratching in walls and ceilings.
Fucking bastard mice. Laughing at traps. Mooching around in the living room. And how come something so tiny makes so much noise? I'm sure the bastards are being extra noisy on purpose to taunt me.
